As Fresh as "PureWow"
Back in August, I was invited to interview for a fantastic job opportunity at KXAN, a local TV station from Austin, Texas. Not only the Digital Marketing Producer position seemed like a great fit for me, but it actually excited me the most. The job responsibilities perfectly matched my creative skills, my passion to analyze demographic insights, and my ability to plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies. I was excited to be able to develop a strong and loyal community for their newscast and morning show's social platforms.
Below I share examples of three Facebook and Instagram posts that I'd sent to the hiring manager during my interview process. Basically, I suggested promoting their morning show in a very similar style to the one of PureWow. Creating somehow of a glamorous personality to Studio 512 host, Amanda Tatom, and in this way, turn the morning show into a window to a luxury, fun, and interesting lifestyle in Austin, Texas.
Another suggestion I've shared was to create food recipes and DIY crafts in short videos. I believe these types of content drive strong engagement and retention. Based on varied case studies made in 2016, 'how-to' posts together with inspirational publications are the most shared and reposted pieces of content in social media channels.
In these examples you can appreciate my graphic design skills, my creative approach to the target audience, the opportunity to create engagement through interesting fun facts, a couple of call-to-action elements and most importantly, seizing the branding opportunity:
